Have a wait function
Would be great if MudRammer could have a wait function (i.e. wait(seconds)). This would work when you have to wait when running x number of rooms before your stamina returns, or, wait until a spell has been finish casting before another spell can be started since the MUD does not allow you stack spells and introduced a delay before casting one spell and another.
This function could be used in triggers, alias, and timers. For example, alias home w;w;w;w;w;wait(4);w;w;n;d. Or, alias spells firewall;wait(15);frostwall;wait(15).
Aside, thank you for a great client. Use it all the time on the iPhone.

I wish MUDRammer would be available for Android users. This is by far the best MUD application available to portable devices
I wish MUDRammer would be available for Android users. This is by far the best MUD application available to portable devices and since upgrading to a droid phone I've been left to use these poorly build applications like blowtorch.

Background Notifications
It would nice if you could setup triggers to send notifications to the device if MUDRammer is running in the background.
33 votesYes! Running your triggers while MUDRammer is in the background is something that may be newly possible with iOS 7.
iOS is unfortunately very particular about what apps can do while they’re in the background. This is one reason why it’s so challenging to reliably maintain your connection while MUDRammer is backgrounded.
I am still investigating how this might work, or whether it’s fully feasible. Stay tuned…

Android App
As an Android user, I would love to see MUDRammer on Android devices in the future. :)

Copy-paste words from MUD text
It would be cool if you could have a button to tap next to the text input box that when pressed allows you to select any word or string of words from the text on the screen, and automatically pastes it into the input box.
This would make interaction with long-spelled objects a lot easier, since you could just type "look at" then select the word/string and then press send.I think it would be better if you limit the selection to only whole words too (not being able to select only half of a word, or a few letters…

Be updated if possible.
Here is the thing, apple will remove mud rammer from the app store if it is not updated regularly. They have done this with other apps I had that werent updated. I hope you are able to update Mudrammer before it becomes harder to use. Processers and IOS versions change hyear to year and updates help keep things working and as a blind user I appreciate your work.

How would you want to set and update variables? As part of a trigger firing? In a special Variables page? Both?

Update iOS compatibility and possibly create a Mac version
This has not been updated in quite some time. Please update. I'd also love a Mac version of this as the only client for that was taken off sometime ago

Lua scripting support
Having the triggers and aliases support Lua scripting would be amazing. It would add a lot more functionality! For example, I would be able to create a speed walking script. =) This would also address a lot of the ideas people have already submitted because then they could just add a script to get the function they need! Pocket MUD Pro offer this but everything else about the app sucks. Currently I am forced to use that app whenever I want to run a script. I would love to have that functionality in MUD Rammer. Hopefully this is possible with…

Implement speedwalk
Long sets of walking paths are a pain on iOS. Alias helps, but you still have to manually type n;n;n;n; and so on.
A speedwalk would be a speciality alias where you input the string of dirs and the app sorts it out.
For example 4nws3w2s would render out into cardinals divided by semicolons.

Triggers tied to Tickers
First off, great job on Tickers! Question: Could the tickers be tied into Triggers? Example: Every minute that passes equates to an hour in my MUD. If I could know just before a minute passes, I could make my character more effective. I could set a Trigger for the text "The sun comes up." that would start my Ticker of 50 seconds. At the end of the Ticker I would fire a command that tells me "Tick in 10 seconds!" allowing me, if I'm able, to perform some tasks just before the tick occurs.

not crash when mailing session logs
Mudrammer consistently crashes when you try to email a session log. This seems like a pretty severe bug.
18 votesYup! Egg on my face.
I believe this crash is specific to mailing a session log when there has not yet been anything logged. If you’ve enabled logging and actually received some text, things should work fine.

Have better integration with iPad Pro keyboards
I know that the iPad Pro is brand new, but the current behavior of the "bluetooth keyboard" toggle causes the QuickType suggestion bar to overlay the text input field, so you can't see what you are typing. I don't know if this also happens with Bluetooth keyboards in iOS 9 or it is just a feature of the new smart keyboard link on the Pro.
One stop gap solution would be to just float the text entry box a little bit above the bottom of the screen, since the suggestions seem to be an 'overlay'.
17 votesThanks for mudding with MUDRammer!
You’re seeing the shortcut bar, a new feature in iOS 9. You can hide this bar by disabling “Shortcuts" under iOS Settings → General → Keyboard.

Add full LUA scripting support
I'd love to be able to add all of my LUA scripts/triggers, etc. Mapper also would rock.

allow me to directly post my logs to Google Drive
Not much here to say, but if I were to bluesky this idea, you could set up a filenaming convention for a world. For instance, something like charactername-001, charactername-002, and so on (at the very least).
Ideally >_>, it'd be great to be able to capture text from the terminal and be able to specify your own pattern. I do this a lot in my desktop clients. It allows me to string together something like a +time command, capture, and automatically shove that into the filename. This is great because it can keep logs ICly in order via the filename…

Support split view in iOS 9
I know it's only eye candy, but Nethack for iOS does that, and having my muddling session and my Nethack session side by side would be awesome.
Also great for those times when you are pretending to work...
